Tough news for the Philadelphia Eagles as terrific guard Brandon Brooks suffered a torn Achilles injury and is out for the season.
According to Fieldgulls.com, Brooks sustained the injury during a workout at the Eagles’ Novacare Complex. He has been an integral part of Philly’s awesome offensive line and was ranked by Pro-Football Focus (PFF) as the best overall offensive guard in the league a season ago.
According to Twitter’s Evan Kaplan over the last three seasons he’s started all 48 regular-season games playing 95% of the snaps in that span reaching the Pro-Bowl each time.
This is a tough blow for the Eagles who are looking to revamp their offense, drafting and signing an influx of talent at the wide receiver and running back position for Carson Wentz as well as defensively in the secondary to improve on an under-whelming 2019 season.
