Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is taking his entrepreneurship skills outside of his role on the t.v. series “Ballers,” as he and a group agreed to purchase the XFL for $15 million Monday.
According to CNN, the former WWE star and big-time Hollywood actor paired with partners such as film producer Dany Garcia as well as business partner Gerry Cardinale and RedBird Capital all linked up to buy the former bankrupt XFL league.
The XFL attempted to make an abridged season following the coronavirus epidemic explosion but did not gain enough traction to do so and eventually announced filing for bankruptcy before the group bought the league.
