Denver Broncos star rusher Von Miller suffered potential season-ending ankle injury Tuesday

The Denver Broncos are suffering a huge hit on their defense as star edge rusher Von Miller suffered a potential season-ending ankle injury during Tuesday’s practice.

According to ESPN, Miller was sent for an MRI shortly after suffering the injury and as of Tuesday the Broncos are still evaluating all options before making any further moves.

Miller will be getting a second opinion from a foot Doctor Thursday so only then will we have definite answers but the wide opinion is this injury sustained is season-ending and it’s quite disappointing because Denver looked much improved coming into the season.

Having addressed their lack of offensive weapons by drafting Alabama stud receiver Jerry Juedy along with Penn State burner KJ Hamler and beast LSU lineman Lloyd Cushenberry, expectations were for former Mizzou QB Drew Lock to take the next step in his progression after a solid rookie campaign.

Defensively, they had edge Bradley Chubb returning from injury and a promising rookie season and of course Von Miller an eight-time Pro Bowler, one of the best Broncos in Denver’s illustrious defensive history, to return with a vengeance after a quieter season finishing 2019 with 8 sacks and 46 total tackles.

This off-season, the 31-year-old tested positive for the coronavirus and battled back from that to play so this reportedly freak injury on the last play of practice is a big blow.

For his career, Von Miller has 106 sacks and 25 forced fumbles in nine seasons with the Broncos.
