Cowboys Pro-Bowl Left Tackle Tyron Smith to miss rest of the season with neck injury

Chris's Corner

On the eve of their Sunday matchup against bitter rival New York Giants, the Dallas Cowboys took a major blow as Left Tackle Tyron Smith will miss the rest of the season to undergo neck surgery.

According to ESPN, Smith suffered the injury during a practice after Dallas’s season opener and missed two games. He returned for last Sunday’s loss to the Browns where he played every snap.

The Cowboys have already been without starting right tackle La’el Collins who had undergone season-ending hip surgery Wednesday but now will be without their Pro-Bowl blind side blocker too.

Brandon Knight or rookie selection Terrance Steele would be the next in line to replace Smith as the (1-3) Cowboys welcome the (0-4) Giants in an NFC East rock fight Sunday.
