College Hall-of-Fame damaged by protesters

A well-documented protest took a violent turn in Atlanta as protesters looted and damaged the college football Hall-of-Fame Friday night.


Police confirmed the Hall-of-Fame located near the CNN Center and Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown Atlanta. These protesters stemmed from over George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis.


Protesters reportedly vandalized the CNN building from the inside and out then took out their frustrations for injustice on the Hall-of-Fame building next to it.

According to ESPN, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms condemned the violence during a news conference. These actions forced Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp declared a state of emergency and deployed the National Guard to the city.


The Hall-of-Fame was working on reopening after being closed from the coronavirus but will have to wait even longer thanks to the damages provided by peaceful-turned-violent protests over the social injustice that’s been occurring over the past few months.
