Well it looks like the Clippers have found their man as Tyronn Lue is finalizing a five-year deal to become Los Angeles’s next head coach.
According to ESPN, the Clippers landed on Lue based upon his championship pedigree, playoff success and confidence.
The 43-year-old received significant support among key Clippers players during the process.
Lue has big shoes to fill as former coach Doc Rivers (fresh off of blowing a 3-1 lead to the Nuggets) compiled a 356-208 record in seven seasons including six playoff appearances as the head man.
But Lue brings the experience necessary to be successful winning a Championship as the Cleveland Cavaliers head man reaching the finals three times while in the Land.
As a head coach, head coach, Lue is 128-83 overall and 41-20 in the playoffs.
As a player, he has won two different championships as a guard with the LA Lakers so I believe they got the right man for the job.
