Chiefs’ Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff to opt out of 2020-21 season due to coronavirus concerns

On the eve of defending their Super Bowl Championship, the Chiefs will take a major blow to their offensive line as Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff announced Friday he is opting out of the 2020-21 season due to the coronavirus.


According to ESPN, the “Canadian Doctor,” is a medical school graduate from McGill University in Canada and has been assisting in a long-term facility in Montreal during the coronavirus.


Duvernay-Tardiff has been the Chiefs’ starting right guard for the past five seasons playing every offensive snap for Kansas during their Super Bowl over the San Francisco 49ers.


Numerous Chiefs including receiver Tyreek Hill and quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to social media to support LDT’s tough decision
