On the eve of defending their Super Bowl Championship, the Chiefs will take a major blow to their offensive line as Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff announced Friday he is opting out of the 2020-21 season due to the coronavirus.
According to ESPN, the “Canadian Doctor,” is a medical school graduate from McGill University in Canada and has been assisting in a long-term facility in Montreal during the coronavirus.
Duvernay-Tardiff has been the Chiefs’ starting right guard for the past five seasons playing every offensive snap for Kansas during their Super Bowl over the San Francisco 49ers.
