On the eve of losing a child an emotionally wrecked Chase Briscoe won the Xfinity series race Thursday.
In Darlington, South Carolina, the 25-year-old dedicated the emotional win to his wife, Marissa who suffered a miscarriage of their unborn daughter.
The 200-mile Xfinity race suffered a few rain delays before going underway around 4:30 p.m. ET. According to Yahoo Sports, Briscoe, in his No. 98 Ford battled with veteran Kyle Busch to the bitter end but with two laps remaining began to pull away and seal a much-needed victory.
The NASCAR community sent their condolences and prayers to the Briscoe family during this tough time.
