The Celtics suffered a big blow in their 109-101 victory over the 76ers as forward Gordon Hayward will be out for at least four weeks with a sprained right ankle.
According to ESPN, Hayward was diagnosed with a Grade 3 right ankle sprain on Tuesday and his production will be missed. The former Butler Bulldog was averaging 17.5-points, 6.7-boards and 4.1-dimes this season for the No. 3 seeded Celtics.
Boston already was limited depth-wise on their roster but given the Hayward injury even bigger minutes will be asked of their starters and they will need players like: Grant Williams, Brad Wanamaker, Romeo Langford and Semi Ojeleye to step up for the Celtics to make a deep playoff run.
