Well it looks like Cam Newton has finally found an NFL home and it will be in Foxborough as the star quarterback inked a one-year deal with the New England Patriots late Sunday evening.
The former NFL MVP will have some big shoes to fill replacing newly departed Patriots legend Tom Brady.
Newton, a former No. 1 overall selection spent his first nine seasons with the Carolina Panthers before the team released him March 24th.
The 31-year-old has Super Bowl caliber experience guiding his 2015 Panthers to a tremendous 15-1 record just coming up a few players short of a Super Bowl Championship.
While with the Panthers, Newton was absolutely dynamic as both a rusher and passer, shattering team records for career passing yards and rushing yards from the quarterback position passing for 29,041 yards, 182 touchdowns, 4,806 rush yards and 58 touchdowns, according to ESPN.
