The Buffalo Sabres made a double-pivot firing general manager Jason Botterill on Tuesday.
According to ESPN, the move comes less than a month after ownership publicly supported Botterill. He had served in that position since 2017.
Previous to the coronavirus shutdown, the Sabres were one of seven teams to not reach the postseason for a league-high ninth straight season so the move isn’t very shocking.
Kevyn Adams, the team’s senior VP of business administration was named the general manager in Botterill’s place.
