The Boston Red Sox have dealt high-flying outfielder Kevin Pillar to the Colorado Rockies Monday.
According to ESPN, the Red Sox sent the gold-glove outfielder and cash to the Rockies for a player later to be named and international slot money.
Pillar, known for his exceptional out-fielding skills, signed a one-year, $4 million dollar deal with the Red Sox this off-season and was coming off his best overall season hitting 21 home runs and 87 RBI’s.
This season Pillar has hit four home runs and 13 RBI’s while batting .274.
