On the same day that UConn announced they will suspend their 2020 football season, the Big Ten conference announced they will play a 10-game conference-only football schedule.
According to ESPN, the season will begin Labor Day weekend with the regular season wrapping up on Nov. 21 and the league championship being set for Dec. 5.
The conference will have twice a week testing for COVID-19 using a third-party laboratory to conduct centralized testing.
As for the conference schedule, Michigan and Ohio State will face each other on Oct. 24th, being the earliest the two have played one another since 1942, Indiana and Purdue will face an in-state rivalry on Nov. 21 and each team will have cross-division games the first and last week of the regular season.
According to the Big 10, all fall sports would operate on a league-only slate.
