Baltimore Orioles slugger Trey Mancini announced in a post on the Player’s Tribune he has stage III colon cancer. The 28-year-old outfielder and first-baseman is likely to miss the entire 2020-21 season to undergo treatment.
While doing his annual physical he was informed by his doctors that his iron levels were lower than usual and wanted to do another blood test. Doctors thought it might be a stomach ulcer or celiac diseases initially.
Mancini is three-months into his treatment and of course players, coaches and the entire country will be praying for a safe, strong and powerful comeback for him as he continues to fight this awful disease.
