Sad news for Atlanta as Falcons beat reporter Vaughn McClure has passed away at age 48.

According to ESPN, McClure joined ESPN to cover the NFL finding his niche covering the Atlanta Falcons television and radio coverage.

McClure joined ESPN after covering the Bears for the Chicago Tribune for six seasons.

The Chicago native graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1994 and is survived by his family and loved ones.
