Yesterday the country thought Justin Verlander’s season was over, everyone except Justin Verlander that is.
The former Cy Young winner is disputing that his season is over citing the injury is a “forearm strain,” and him missing the entire season is “not accurate,” via Twitter Post.
According to ESPN, The Houston Chronicle cited two sources with knowledge of the situation saying that Verlander would miss the entire season and Astros manager Dusty Baker backed his All-State pitcher saying the right-hander will “be shut down for a few weeks then reevaluated then.”
Verlander led the league with 21 wins to just six losses with the most starts (34), most innings pitched (223) and lowest WHIP with (.803) last season.
