Arrest warrants have been issued for New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker and Seattle Seahawks Quinton Dunbar by the Miramar, Florida police department stemming from a May 13th incident.
Baker has been charged for four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and Dunbar was charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Per the police report, while attending a cookout party in Miramar, Broward County, an argument stemmed between Baker/Dunbar and a third person that resulted in Baker revealing a firearm and ultimately Baker/Dunbar stealing three watches and $7,000 in cash with “force,” according to CBS Sports.
A witness at the party told Miramar Police that Baker and Dunbar lost over $70,000 at a Miami Days from either gambling or high-stakes card games and believe the dispute at the cookout stemmed from this incident.
Only the Giants have released a statement saying they are “aware of the situation, but declined further commenting.”
Baker, the former Georgia Bulldog started 15 games his rookie season delivering 61 tackles and two tackles-for-loss, according to Football Reference. Meanwhile, Dunbar has spent five seasons with the Redskins starting 11 games totaling 37 tackles with Washington a season ago.
