The Arizona Cardinals took a major blow to their defense Wednesday as star rusher Chandler Jones will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a right biceps injury.
According to ESPN, the All-Pro edge had just one sack all season before going down in the second quarter of the Cards 30-10 victory over the Jets in Metlife last Sunday.
Jones' recovery time per his coach Kliff Kingsbury is expected to be about three-to-four months.
Since entering the league in 2012, the former Syracuse Orangeman has been an elite pass rusher totaling an NFL-high 19 sacks last season and through nine seasons topped 97 which is the most in the NFL since being drafted.
It will be unbelievably hard for the Cards to replace such a player but Arizona will try to with players such as: Haason Reddick, Kyle Fitts and Dennis Gardeck moving forward.
