The Arizona Cardinals are in the news but for the wrong reasons as rookie receiver Jermiah Braswell was arrested Saturday evening after he allegedly drove his car into Lake Erie.
According to Complex.com, Put-in Bay, Ohio police received a call around 6:30 p.m. regarding an incident where Braswell drove his orange Camaro off an embankment and landed in the lake.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found Braswell in the driver’s seat still trying to drive the car forward. Police then ordered Braswell to undergo a sobriety test in which it was found he was driving heavily under the influence.
The former Youngstown State standout signed with the Cardinals as a 2020 undrafted free agent but after this incident his days are likely numbered in the NFL.
