San Francisco is reuniting two individuals as former Pro Bowl tight end Jordan Reed signed a one-year deal with the 49ers Monday.
According to ESPN, with the signing San Francisco reunited Reed, the former Redskin with Kyle Shanahan, the former Washington offensive coordinator turned 49ers head coach.
The former Florida Gator has had a long injury history, particularly, concussions missing all of the 2019 season after recording his seventh documented since he started playing college football.
The 30-year-old has never played a full season in his seasons with his best coming in 2015 when he hauled in 952 yards for 11 touchdowns earning him a Pro-Bowl appearance.
Reed hauled in 54 receptions for 558 yards and two touchdowns during his last season in 2018.
