Low man wins and George Kittle certainly won Thursday as he and the 49ers agreed to a five-year, $75 million dollar extension deal.
According to ESPN, Kittle is now the highest paid tight end receiving $40 million guaranteed dollars and $30 million at the signing. The deal is twice as much as the next closest tight end that being Cleveland Brown tight end Austin Hooper who signed with the Browns this off-season.
Since being drafted in the fifth round of the 2017 draft, the Iowa Hawkeye has been a best hauling in 2945 yards and 12 touchdowns earning him two Pro Bowl appearances and an All-Pro appearance.
NFL Network currently listed Kittle as the top tight end heading into the 2020 NFL season being fresh off a Super Bowl appearance for the 13-3 reigning NFC West San Francisco 49ers.
