Andre Drummond is staying in the ‘Land as the Two-time All-Star said he plans on picking up his player option that will keep him with the Cavaliers one more season.
According to ESPN, Drummond was traded to the Cavaliers for John Henson, Brandon Knight and a 2023 second-round pick in Feb. Prior to this, he had spent his seven seasons with the Detroit Pistons.
The former UConn Husky had a career year with the Cavaliers averaging a career-best 17.7-points along with 15-boards while shooting 53% from the field, according to Basketball-Reference.com.
Since entering in the league Drummond has been universally recognized as one of the best rebounders in the game averaging double-digit rebounds every season including three of which he was the boards champion.
He certainly is a foundational piece for a rebuilding Cavs team that needs all the help it can get.
