2020 MLB Postseason Schedule and Prediction: Chris’s Corner Edition

Chris's Corner

Great news for baseball fans as the 2020 MLB Postseason schedule has been released and man we have some great matchups to watch.

American League

The Wildcard matchups are set to start September 29th to October 1st with a win-or-go-home play-in game.

Here is the AL's slate:

1. Tampa Bay Rays Vs. No. 8 Toronto Blue Jays

2. Oakland A's Vs. No. 7 Chicago White Sox

3. Minnesota Twins Vs. No. 6 Houston Astro's

4. Cleveland Indians Vs. No. 5 New York Yankees

The winners of Rays-Blue Jays and Indians-Yankees advance to Play the AL-Division Series in San Diego from October 5th-9th.

The winners of the Twins-Astros and A's-White Sox advance to Play the AL-Division Series in Los Angles with the same dates.

The two winners of each of those four series will advance to play the AL-Championship Series in San Diego from October 11th to the 17th.

As for the National League, here is their Wildcard matchups spanning from September 30th to October 2nd.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers vs. No. 8 Milwaukee Brewers

2. Atlanta Braves Vs. No. 7 Cincy Reds

3. Chicago Cubs Vs. No. 6 Miami Marlins

4. San Diego Padres Vs. No. 5 St. Louis Cardinals

The winners of the Dodgers-Brewers and Padres-Cardinals series will advance to the NL-Division Series in Arlington from October 6th to the 10th.

The winners of the Cubs-Marlins and Braves-Reds will advance to the NL-Division Series in Houston with the same dates.

The two winners of each of those four series will advance to the NL-Championship Series in Arlington from October 12th to the 18th.

Finally the outright winner of the American League and National League will face off in the 2020 World Series Championship in Arlington, Texas from October 20th to the 28th.

A firstly shoutout to all the playoff droughts broken starting with the Miami Marlins making the playoffs for the first time since 2003, the Chicago White Sox breaking through to make the postseason since 2008, the Cincinnati Reds making it for the first time since 2013, the San Diego Padres reaching the postseason finally since 2006 and finally the Toronto Blue Jays making the postseason for the first time since 2016.

Best of luck to all the teams and I have the Los Angeles Dodgers capturing that elusive Title in Arlington this postseason.
